    You’ll find us beneath the Salcombe Tourist Information Centre in The Old Council Hall, Market Street, Salcombe, TQ8 8DE.

    Between April 1st and October 31st 2025 we aim to be OPEN every day between 10.30am & 12.30pm and 2.30pm & 4.30pm EXCEPT SUNDAY MORNINGS . FREE ENTRY!

    Out-of-hours access (including during the winter closure period) can be arranged for groups of 8 or more by prior arrangement (a minimum donation of £20 per group is requested)

    There is parking available in the town at Creek Car Park (long stay), Shadycombe Road (3 hours only in the summer) and Whitestrand (1 hour only in high season). There is also a long stay car park as you come into the town on the Salcombe Road (A381) at the junction of Main Road and Bonfire Hill. A ‘park and ride’ service operates from here between the following dates:

     The nearest bus stop to the museum is in Shadycombe Road. 

    There are no restrictions on disabled access for visitors to the museum. The public rooms occupy a single floor accessed at street level with no steps, stairs or ramps to negotiate. 

    There are no toilet facilities but public toilets are available in nearby Whitestrand Car Park.
