The new children’s activities in the museum have attracted a record number of young visitors this year. Our previous record was 820 but now we are likely to top a thousand by the end of the month. The Pirate Hunt, the Treasure Challenge, Davy Jone’s Locker, and the pirate’s dressing up box have all been very popular. Younger children love demonstrating their artistic talents on the new ‘What did you discover in the museum today’ cards. Some examples are shown below.
